Teach English the Fun Way!
How can teachers keep teenage students interested in learning English?
The key to a successful lesson is to make the lesson fun. To maximize student's learning potential and acquisition of English speaking skills, English conversation practice should involve interactive activities that create a relaxed atmosphere where learners feel confident to experiment with language. To keep students motivated, the activities should be varied and not too repetitive. Practice exercises should include role plays, competitions, games, quizzes and discussions. The lesson planned should always be a mix of individual, paired, grouped and whole class activities. Students do not want to discuss one picture for half an hour. That is not fun!
